My birthday recently passed and my lovely mom found this picture from my childhood as a post on Facebook. I have not seen this picture in years. I look a lot like my mom. I must have been 5 years old in this picture. I wanted to use my favorite colors for this layout and the Amy Tangerine Rise and Shine collection was perfect. This collection is still available at The Ink Road and use the code Evi10 at checkout for a discount.
I started out with cutting four different patterned papers from this collection into different sized rectangles and did a multi layers stack behind my photo. I then used heavy gel through a heart stencil in a vertical arrangement on the left side of my American Crafts white card stock. Once dried I did a watercolor wash with oranges, pinks and yellows.
The frames from The Simple Stories Life in Color collection worked perfectly with the Rise and Shine papers. I framed some scraps of the Amy Tan papers in the frames and used four of them around my photo placement.
For my title I used a chipboard word from The Wonder collection by Crate Paper and gold alphas and puffy stickers from Maggie Holmes. I tucked tangled thread in a few locations. And of course no layout of mine is not complete without some Gold Heidi Shine splatters.
Thank you for stopping by, ~Evi
