My art journal pages are always special to me. I never know where the journey will go. I may simply start off with some paint on a page but then ideas come to me and the page transforms before my eyes. This page is using supplies found at The Pink Camera. This page simply started with all the red tone paints from the Dylusion Paints from Ranger; Post Box Red, Bubblegum Pink, Tangerine Dream and Cherry Pie.
Then I added white Liquitex Paint and some blue swirls and its starts to evolve. I add a few hash marks with more white paint and I start to see flowers around. I then remember my scrap pieces of paper from the Star Shine Collection from Shimelle from an earlier layout and I have paper to layer onto my pages for added interest. I then took a Dina Wakley Stencil, Birds in Flight, and used white modeling paste for more texture to the background.
I adhered the birds with Scotch quick dry glue and then added multiple layers of splatters from Heidi Swapp Color Shine in gold to Tattered Angles Tin Can for shimmer on the birds. I may go back and write a quote on the page but for now I am happy with my result.
Here is my process video of it coming together. Thank you for stopping by.
